Full name Tom Liam Benedict Burke Born in Kent on 30th June 1981. 6ft tall (1.83m) Green eyes Brown Hair He attended the Young Arden Theatre in Faversham before going on to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art(RADA)in London. Special skills: Horse riding,Period Dance,Tango,Stage Fighting and Accents Special Interests inc: Film Making,Writing,Physical Theatre,Martial arts,Theatre Clowning & Fire rhythms dance.

(Really) Random things about Tom from various interviews..

His favorite film is Rust and Bone (2012) and during an interview to site "One Room With a View" in March 2014, he declared that it was the last film that made him cry. Tom loses his wallet alot.. “One of our assistants, back in London already, tells me that Tom Burke was dropped at a train station in Carmarthen and then found that he’d lost his wallet. He has no ticket and therefore no way home. (Over the next two years I will discover on my travels with Tom that this not an unusual event.) From Vaughan Sivell’s blog. Asked what he does in his spare time “‘I read. I walk. I drink a lot of tea.” Won the Ian Charleson Award for his portrayal of Adolf in Creditors at the Donmar Warehouse. Likes to listen to Electro music. Isn’t a fan of the humble table coaster! Favourite book is The Wind-up Bird Chronical by Haruki Murakami. Favourite holiday destination is The Mani peninsula in Greece. Favourite movie is The Green Man and Tv show is the Danish version of ‘The Killing’. Actress and actor he admires are Sophie Okonedo and Mark Ruffalo. Favourite artist is David Bowie. When spending his time in Paris filming Napoleon he spent seven nights under a rain machine getting drenched, spent his time on only God Forgives drenched in blood and his head stuck in a mattress and his opening scene in the Musketeers he of course had his head stuck in a bucket full of water... (glamourous this acting lark! :D) Tom is an Eastenders fan along with his mum. Tom does alot of charity work and has supported many events including Operation Smile. Tom is a Company Patron of the Box Clever Theatre company which is dedicated to the creation of contemporary theatre for young people. Did you know...  Tom’s parents are talented actors too (which must be where he gets those great acting genes from). His mum is Anna Calder- Marshall (Wuthering Heights) and his Dad is David Burke  (Doctor Watson in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Tom’s godfather is Alan Rickman. His godmother is Bridget Turner. Tom is numerically dyslexic and his father suspects he has the same condition. Tom was born with a cleft lip. When asked in an interview with Left clip  if he felt having a cleft lip had made any difference, good or bad, to his life he said that for him, it had only been positive.
