enjoyed making prank calls. I spent half an hour on the phone to
Clarks pretending to be a man who couldn't get his shoe off.” Tom sharing

Musketeers to do the Ice Bucket Challenge! You may have noticed recently that a phenomenon has swept the globe where previously considered sane people throw buckets of ice cube filled cold waterover themselves whilst on video. You can be relieved to know this is actually fora good cause and the Charity is the ALS Association (ALS is Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease which is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinalcord.) Luke Pasqualino has now officially nominated the rest of the boys and hopefully they will be participating with videos posted this week! :) Please support their insanity and impending pneumonia by donating to this worthwhilecause. You can donate via mobile phone by text messaging ICED55 £5 to 70070in the UK(this example would donate £5) or visit their website to find other ways to donate.
Tom Burke Audio literary finds this week! This week I’ve discovered some new gems that Tom has featured in. The first isthe audio book “Shamela” .Sadly Tom only has one line in it but it’s still new Tom. The second find is “The Poetry App” which was created by the Josephine Hart Foundation. They regularly hold poetry readings in London and Tom has done a couple of these. Luckily for us some of the performances have made it into the app and can be watched for free! The app is available currently on Apple’s store for IPhones and IPads (this version currently features 3 poems by Tom along with audio and video of the readings.) and also Google’s Play store for Android phones, though it does install on some tablets aswell. (This version has 5 poemson and the videos can be watched full screen.) For pc users and those who don’thave compatible devices the good news is that a website has now been launchedby the Foundation and the videos will be posted there in a few weeks time for us all to enjoy. (Thank you @LesleyDanks1 for the heads up on the apps!)
Tom Burke video finds this week! As well as the audio finds this week I also had passed to me two gems to share with you all! Firstly Shakespeare’s Globe is a documentary dvd about theGlobe Theatre and as well as being a fascinating insight into the Theatre itself it so happens that the version of Romeo and Juliet being performed was starring our very own Mr Burke :) It features lots of behind the scenes and on stage footage of the cast preparing and performing the play. It is an expensive dvd at nearly £20 however the money from your purchase does go to support the running of the Globe Theatre. :) Huge thanks to June Wilson for passing this info to me! The second video find is this one for Operation Smile’s Carols by Candlelight. Ihave had the photos from this 2012 event in the gallery for a while but thank youto @Twitchtwoo for spotting this video! Xx

Tom appearing at Carols By Candlelight event in LondonTom will (subject to commitments) be doing one of the readings at the City Carols By Candlelight event on the 16th December at St Botolph without Bishopsgate,Liverpool Street, London EC2. The event has been organised by Operation Smile and tickets for adults cost £30.00 each and children £5.00. Tom in Paris for Musketeers BBC Showcase. Back in early December Tom was, along with Luke, Howie, Santiago, Maimee, Executive Producer Jessica Pope and Costume Designer Phoebe De Gayein Paris promoting Season 1 of the show which launched on the TMC Channel inFrance. They again participated in Q & A session in front of a live audience which not only contained press but also fans of the show. Lucky fans got to mingle withthe cast at the event and judging from the photos a great time was had by all. The cast also had the unique opportunity to meet the French actors who will voice their characters on the TMC broadcast of the show. Operation Smile fundraising by Tom’s fans-“The Burketeers” As I’ve already posted, Tom supports Operation Smile & attended the Carols byCandlelight event last December(will post more about that later!). Tom’s fans (known as ‘Burketeers’) decided that as a Christmas present we would raise money for Operation Smile in his name. By the time we arrived at the Carols night we had raised over £2500! We continue to fundraise for Operation Smile and our new aim is to get to £10,000 for Tom’s birthday present on 30th June. We have raised over £7,000 now in total (over £8000 including gift aid).
